Victorian Bay Window. Boxed Sash.

£ 650

Quantity in stock: 1

Reclaimed Bay Window, circa 1870-1900.  Very sound condition, no rot.  Dry stored for around 25 years.  It has one genuine hand-blown ‘bullseye’ pane (properly called a ‘bullion’) and I have a handful more which may be of interest to the purchaser.  Please note the large shelf-like construction inside the window was added when the window was taken out, in order to keep its shape and structural integrity; it is temporary and should be removed after installation. The large windows in the middle appear to be fixed but the side sashes are designed to open, although not just now due to the temporary wooden strengthening.  The ropes and sash-weights are still in-situ within their boxing.  I bought it quarter of a century ago intending to install it in my own house but sadly there is nowhere suitable.  This is a reluctant sale as I am sure an opportunity to use it will present itself as soon as I sell it!

Approximate internal measurements:   64” wide,  60” high, 20” deep.

Approximate external measurements:  Middle window is 39” wide and 60” high.  Side windows are 23” wide and 60” high, although the architrave adds another two inches.

Collection:  I suggest three strong men will be required as it is heavy and it is stored upstairs in an old stables.  The 13 steps are wide and straight.  Due to a ruined back I regret I am unable to assist.
