Mullioned Window with Leaded Lights. 18th/19th Century. 5ft wide, 4ft 3” high.
£ 185
Quantity in stock: 1
Reclaimed mullioned window with opening leaded lights. It dates from the 19th century but it is a copy of a late-17th - 18th-century window and very difficult to find. The condition is remarkably good; one small quarry (pane) is broken and if you look closely you can see others have been replaced in the past. There is a little rot in the top corner which can be repaired easily, otherwise it is very sound indeed. The main frame is made of pine but the sill is oak, as it resists rot: this is a window of quality. It has been in dry storage for twenty years; I intended to incorporate it into a period-style summer-house but never found the time.
60” wide, 51” high, 4” thick.
Collection: Two strong types will be needed as it is upstairs in an old stable block. The 13 steps are wide and straight but the window is heavy. I regret I am unable to assist as I have a ruined back.
