Casement windows with leaded lights.
£ 85
Quantity in stock: 1
Pair of traditional style casement windows dating from the 1930s, based on the Georgian/Victorian two-casement cottage window but with an extra horizontal opening light above. For a 1930s appearance one might keep them as they are but for older properties I think removing the horizontal casements would look much better. They are a pair except that one window has two vertical opening casements while the other has one opening and one fixed.
Condition: please view the phototgraphs. Apart from the peeling paint they are generally good and sound; they have been in dry storage for around twenty years. One of the horizontal casements needs easing so at present it does not close, and the steel casement fastener is broken in half. There is a small area of rot at the bottom of the windows as one might expect but they need very little repair. There are some very old woodworm holes but the insects are dead. I intended to use the windows in a traditional summer-house but never got around to it.
Each window is 40.5” wide x 54” high x 3.5” deep. If the upper casements were to be cut off the windows would then be 36” high.
