Reclaimed Vintage Teak Church Seating Planks
£ 125 per sq m
£125 PER M2
These teak planks were recently salvaged last week from a mid-century Catholic Church in Cumbernauld, Glasgow which is currently being refurbished.
These planks have all the familiar tight grain, swirls and golden brown tones we have come to love in teak. Teak is highly sort after for its ability to stand the test of time for years gone and years to come. This a prominent factor of why it is so regularly used for schools, church’s, joinery, flooring and kitchen renovations etc. These being not only for hard wearing worktops but the strongest of tables!
In our reclaimed planks, they come with all the expected past history character marks adding to its aged time worn patina giving it exceptional charm and unique features. This premium hardwood is well suited for any interior project in need of history only reclaimed timbers can give!
Each piece is one solid plank and is not laminated, or made up of two narrow planks stuck together! One of the best things about having super long lengths is you do not pay for any waste and every part can be used instead having bits of waste here and there which commonly occur with the usual awkward sizes.
You chose what desired look your going for whether it be the popular retro style with the traditional wax and stain giving it a whole new patina to suit your decor. Maybe it is something more modern your are looking for? Being sanded to reveal its true grain and finished in a protective oil/lacquer of your choice to complement its durability!
We have included a short piece sanded and one piece stained and finished in furniture oil to give you inspiration of what you can make it into.
