Original Carved Cherub Carrara Marble Water fountain

This is an original, period Carrara marble water fountain adorned with 3 carved neoclassical winged cherubs/putti's. This piece dates early Victorian with highly carved flowers running round the lower half.Underneath are 3 horned mythological creatures that surround the whole base.On top sits a carved flower marble basin to match. The cherub sculptured base is structurally sound. The basin has a historical repair to one of the petals, which is barely visible. Originally this have had a surround but nevertheless it would make a great feature!

The fountain stands at just over 6.5ft tall, indoors or outdoors this is a true statement which will enhance any period property, and a one of a kind rarity. Due to the previous owners taste, the statue has been painted over once. As I imagine it will be fairly simple to remove with it being just the one coat. The top of the statue has not been painted, that is the colour of the original marble.

If interested we can put the basin back on top, due to the weight it has been a struggle!
This marble fountain is at the premises of a period property in Harrogate. Originally this came from a manor house in Lancashire. Due to change in developments the owner has decided to sell.

The statue has been carved out of one block of marble, a fountain of this quality is rarely seen on the market!
