We are fortunate to have reclaimed several of these large mailbox banks. The vintage U.S. Post Office mailboxes have doors mounted into a larger bank of mail slots. They were commonly used in American post offices during the early–mid 20th century. The cast metal doors feature the decorative Greek key border in brass and combination locks, with painted numbers on glas windows so postal workers could see which boxes were in use.A rare find, these full banks are especially desirable since most surviving examples are only individual doors salvaged from decommissioned post offices. We have a pair of the size photographed remaining and a further, larger pair - please contact us for more information.49" high x 14" deep x 24" wideDimensions are approximate
