Pair of antique limestone posts

BCA Ref 2023101 - This heavyweight pair of antique French limestone posts look very like quayside bollards, but this pair wasn’t used for that. They would have been strategically and decoratively placed flanking an entranceway, thereby guiding horse-drawn carriages in the right direction. The cylindrical upper part was visible above ground level, whereas the rustic base served as the foundation embedded below ground. They are no newer than 19th century, and are unmistakably Truly Reclaimed.
