Super rare, Arts and crafts English Oak overlay floor circa 1900 .......This type of overlay English Oak does not normally reclaim well as it is mostly glued down with rabbit fur and bone glues...Those glues were powerful and therfore most of thiese floors tend to incur considerable damage when attempting the lifting of them........This batch of around 50 mts sq is in really good condition and is ripe for that period restoration, and is a rare batch.......the width is 95 mm and the thickness around 5 / 6 mm.....There is a miniscule t & g on the sides but I would cut theose off to creaste a square edged overlay which then can be glued and pinned down in the traditional way.........Find another batch of this ?
