Large Antique Granite Stone Roller with Original Iron Axle

A substantial reclaimed granite stone roller complete with its original forged iron axle and support brackets.

This is an authentic period agricultural/industrial stone roller with a wonderful naturally weathered surface, attractive lichen growth and excellent aged character. It would make a striking feature in a traditional or contemporary garden, landscape project, country house or architectural salvage collection.

The roller remains complete with its original iron axle projecting from both ends and sits in its original iron cradle supports. It has not been restored, retaining its genuine historic patina.

Condition
Good reclaimed condition consistent with age. Surface weathering, lichen and corrosion to the ironwork all add to its authentic character. Please study the photographs carefully as they form part of the description.
