Historisch Hout specializes in the sale of old oak beams, planks, and wood lots. We travel across Europe to source the finest timber, allowing us to maintain a unique collection of frame structures in various sizes. In our own workshop and sawmill, the beams and planks can be processed in different ways. We can de-nail, brush, plane, and resaw them to the desired dimensions.

Our range includes wood with a variety of appearances: from heavily weathered to almost straight and square. Some frame structures even feature authentic wood carvings. There are many variations in processing, appearance, origin, and age of the old oak beams and planks. Old oak wood has an authentic, warm look. Since the wood has naturally dried over decades, it is much more stable than fresh oak.

The beams and planks often come from the demolition of old grain barns, farms, and country houses, making the reuse of old oak wood in new construction projects a sustainable building approach. We focus not only on the local market but also on international clients seeking high-quality reclaimed wood for their construction projects.
