A rare painted 19th Century George II style pine chimneypiece of impressive scale in the manner of William Kent. The frieze is centred by a plaque with a mask of Apollo surrounded by a sunburst. Fruit and flower swags either side of centred plaque. Large carved corbel supports, topped with urns. Dimensions: Width across top 67.5ins. Height 54 ins. Internal 46ins w. x 40ins h.
