An unusual antique lantern with super verdigris patination, the satin etched glass globe shade mounted within an exagerated "D" strutted frame under a large canopy and hanging loop. The beautiful coloring has been acquired by age and elements rather than chemically. English, early 20th century.
Comes with it's original quality hooked ceiling plate (screws also supplied) and short length of chain / S hook. (longer solid brass chain lengths can be supplied in any lengths and at a push i may be able to find a decent length of antique chain.
Ready to go; cleaned and rewired with 1.25m fabric flex and new patinated brass BC lampholder (extended from original position within the shade to site a regular modern lightbulb centrally for optimum light output and quality).
Dimensions in inches/cms;
13"/33cm max diameter (10.5"/27cm shade diameter).
16"/41cm tall to top of gallery loop.
The hook is 4"/10cm tall.
Weight is 3kg.
