Two matching, although one is slightly smaller, highly carved gothic church altar pieces. Probably 19th century French. Oak and fruitwood construction with integral tabernacles. Both come in three sections, the fronts are varnished with some gilded/gold painted details. These would make stunning bed headboards or vanity units if mirrors were to be placed behind the tracery. The largest of the two is 82" (208cm) tall by 62" (158cm) wide approx. The smaller is 78" (188cm) tall by 60" (152cm) wide approx. Although both have crucifix finials on the central panel, included are two poppy head finials if a buyer wished to replace them.
