Reclaimed Black Afara / Indigbo.......Ex Shaka Zulu Restaurant

1000 mts sq of solid hardwood floorboards reclaimed from the famous " Shaka Zulu " restaurant in fashionable Camden in London........ Shaka Zulu had a multi million pound bespoke designed interior, and no expense was spared when it came to the quality of the materials used......We believe the floorboards are a timber called Indigbo or Black Afara, and were sourced from Africa, specifically for this project.......The timber is extremely beautiful in respect to grain patterns and figure........Over the duration of the restuarants existance, the floor had all manner of protective coatings applied, but once sympathetically removed and re polished, the true beauty of the wood is revealed......This consignment is truly unique and as the images show from the sample panel we have prepared, that these boards would grace any period property, or restoration project, and offer a quality alternative to the go to Pine or Oak normally specified. In my opinion the appearance here is not dissimilar to high gradfe African Walnut........The boards are 160 mm wide and the lengths are random with a thickness of 21 mm and solid..........
