Theft Alert: Marble figure of Pomona stolen in Kent

Female marble figure scantily draped and bejewelled, leaning on a tree stump, holding cymbals.

The figure is believed to represent Pomona, goddess of fruitful abundance in ancient Roman religion and myth.

The theft is believed to have taken place over night between 26 and 27 May. A number of urns were also damaged, and it is believed that the suspects had tried to remove these as well.
