The annual RHS Chelsea Flower Show, 2025, is always held in South West London at the Royal Hospital Chelsea. The Royal Horticultural Society is the UK's leading garden charity.  Royal visits have become a tradition, and King Charles and Queen Camilla were the first to tour the gardens with other celebrities such as David Beckham, Dame Joanna Lumley and Cate Blanchett.  The show dates this year were 20th to 24th May.

The show was filled with amazing garden designs, but there were some standout reclaimed highlights. See more below:

Greenheart timbers for the decking of the 'Freedom to Flourish' garden were supplied by Salvo Code member Ashwells Reclaimed Timber. It was built by 'The Outdoor Room', with whom Ashwells has worked on several occasions. The Greenheart reclaimed wood (pictured below) was from sea groyne boards from Hythe, on the Kent coast.

The garden designed by the husband and wife team, Joe & Laura Carey, was an RHS winner. Sponsored by the international law firm Addleshaw Goddard, the garden reflects a wider conversation about inclusivity, justice and balance. The garden achieved a Gold medal, the RHS Small Garden of the Year award, and the Best Construction award.

The 'Freedom to Flourish' garden also featured reclaimed brick and stone from Salvo Code member, Reclaimed Brick Company, who also contributed reclaimed building materials to the Pathway garden, which won a Silver Gilt medal and the Environmental Innovation award. The Chelsea Pensioner Garden, designed by Dave Green and supported by London Square Developments, was also awarded Gold in the Small Show Gardens category. Again, reclaimed brick paving and Yorkshire stone were all supplied by the Reclaimed Brick Company. A round of applause also goes out to Salvo Code member, Architectural Heritage, who has exhibited at the Chelsea Flower Show for at least thirty five years but could even be as much as forty years now. They were opposite the Bull Ring entrance and exhibited a fine selection of garden antiques and stone troughs together with verdigris copper planters and water features, iron garden furniture, and many other items from their new 'Heritage Handmade' garden collections.

Alex Puddy said,

'For Architectural Heritage, Taddington it was a great year with clients coming back after a quiet year last time – probably not helped by being so cold and wet. This year however the sun shone, and we sold our best pieces including a fine Bronze Mercury, a 18th century lead cistern, a suite of Eight lead urns alongside stone troughs etc. Pleased to report a vintage year.'
