Your sourcebooks for restoration and reuse are now available to buy. Launched at The Decorative Fair, craft skills took centre stage. From Liberty’s Truly Reclaimed woodwork showcased in the Arts and Crafts foyer display, where visitors could immerse themselves in the work of Liberty’s own craftspeople, to a modern-day Maker’s Arena on the mezzanine for The House Directory LIVE, the fair was a testament to the power of reuse, restoration, and sustainable design.

I was thrilled to join interiors journalist Busola Evans for The House Directory LIVE panel discussion on designing with antiques and vintage, where Edward Bulmer (Edward Bulmer Natural Paint) and Amy Eld (Rock the Heirloom) opened their little black books of tips. Don’t worry if you missed it because our little ‘Brick’ books (coloured in Edward Bulmer’s paints ‘Brick’ and ‘Header’) have everything you need to know.

The Salvo Pocket Guide Restoration Special Edition, brought to you by Salvo and The House Directory, features an edit of our digital directories. Still, our main aim was to reinvigorate repair culture and celebrate craftspeople, so you can also expect some satisfying before-and-afters. The guides share people’s stories and how restorations have influenced and even transformed their homes, businesses, or lifestyles.

Download the digital guides, see the link below or contact Salvo for a pocket-sized printed guide to reclamation suppliers and restorers, plus handy hints for your reclaimed renovations.
