Salvo Code members Vivienne and Andrew Newton from UK Architectural Antiques, set up their livery yard Court Bank Farm six years ago, and the business has gone from strength to strength with their hard work being rewarded at the SEIB Livery Yard and Riding School of the Year Awards.

A fantastic achievement considering the awards received over 1,400 nominations from the general public, for their favourite livery yards and riding schools throughout the country. Being shortlisted came as a complete surprise to them as they were unaware of the nomination ‘We didn’t know anything about the SEIB awards, until the judge phoned to say they were on the way to do their surprise yard visit. The girls on the yard had nominated us and kept it very quiet! We are thrilled to have won this.”

The first ever Awards was a very glamorous event held at the Leonardo Royal London City Hotel, hosted by the international event rider Harry Meade, with a sumptuous four-course dinner and auction to raise funds for the British Horse Foundation.

Receiving their award from the British Olympic eventer, Gemma Tattersall, Vivienne extended congratulations to the runners up in their category; Berries Farm, Norfolk and Meadow Lane, Cambridgeshire. Thanking everyone for their support and acknowledging the success of the yard is down to a team effort.

It is now onward and upwards for Court Bank Farm, with the next building plan in the pipeline, the aim for Vivienne is to continue improving the yard and to carry on providing a safe and happy environment for their horses and liveries.
