The boys brought their A-game to the SALVO 2017 AYG competition so the Salvo team and Antiques Young Guns chair, Edd Thomas had no choice but to award two pitches instead of one. Congratulations Joe Chaffer of Vagabond Antiques & Decor and Matt Dixon of Tallboy Interiors.
21 year old Matt started Tallboy Interiors two years ago on the motto "if I like it I buy it." He never buys an item he could not personally live with and believes the interior of one's home represents as much about you as the way you dress. Following an equally personal approach, Joe started Vagabond Antiques & Decor in 2015 and last year opened a shop with a collection of his favourite decorative antiques. Joe treats both his brick and mortar and online shop as his personal collection with a mash-up of eras and individual pieces.
See and shop the winning AYG stands at SALVO 2017, located on the private Henley estate of salvage enthusiasts Sir William and Lady McAlpine. Home to a restored Edwardian train station, a railway museum and an animal sanctuary for over 20 exotic species, it is a unique setting for 10 acres of stock from over 90 exhibitors.
