The ProAuction sale on Friday and Saturday next week, steeped in history and accompanied by a thousand tales, will feature some 800 lots - which will be both live and webcast - on behalf of Antique Church Furnishings, the leading supplier of antique ecclesiastical furnishings, furniture, fixtures and fittings from the length and breadth of Britain, with three decades of trading history.

Lots to look forward to across the course of the two day auction will include elaborate carvings and decoration, stained glass cartoons, a good range of chapel chairs, oak and pine pews, oak and mahogany doors, prayer boards, bronze bells, plaster and wood statues, carved screens, lecterns, fonts and pulpits. Among the unreserved lots are pallets of marble and stone, crosses, sets of long painted pine pews and some large runs of shelving.

Mark Flynn of Pro Auction commented, "This sale has created quite a stir - which has perhaps been most notable for the array of professional and private individuals; from interior designers to collectors and architects, it appears that the appetite for architectural salvage and church antiques is insatiable."

The auction will be at Antique Church Furnishings of Rivernook Farm, Walton-on-Thames, Surrey KT12 2ET. It will be both live and internet enabled on Friday 16th September and Saturday 17th September both days at 10am. Viewing will be from 8.30am on Thursday 15th September and on both of the sale mornings. The catalogue is now available online, alongside images and instructions for those who wish to bid from the comfort of their own home.
