The Author
Lee Jackson is an historian and novelist. He is a bit obsessed with Victorian London. He is best known as the creator of victorianlondon.org, and the author of books such as A Metropolitan Murder, Walking Dickens London and Dirty Old London. Mostly, he wanders the streets, taking photographs, researching obscure Victoriana, and spends far too much time on Twitter.
The book will be written once £10,000 or so is raised. Cheapest pledge is £10 for an ebook edition, access to Lee's shed and your name in the back of the book, with £20 getting a hardback copy plus various increasingly enticing options up to £250 for an hour lecture from Lee in a venue of your choosing on topics such as gin palaces, public toilets, cemeteries, music hall and more, plus a signed special edition hardback inclusion in the printed subscribers' list.
