On the outskirts of the quaint Cotswold village of Tetbury, in a couple of ex-RAF hangars, is Lorfords. The antiques, design and locations business is fast filling two huge spaces for discerning antique dealers to showcase their stock. Thirty dealers are part of the Lorfords collective, with space to display and photograph stock, and promotion on the elegant Lorfords website.
Whilst launching a new website for her business, Gail McLeod, owner of Antiques News & Fairs and co-founder of Antiques Young Guns, has recently moved into a spare office at Lorfords. The move will further help Antiques News & Fairs to have its finger on the pulse of the antiques world.
Amongst stunning ancient, antique, mid-century antique furniture and inspirational decorative antiques, is an abundance of architectural and garden antiques including many pairs of cast iron, stone and zinc urns, plant stands and jardineres, Indian benches, finials, and panelling, statuary, sundials, troughs, trolleys and barrows.
Seven 20th century unusual terracotta brick moulds are for sale for £50. An 18th century stone table on a raised for is on sale for £2,600. Eight extremely rare Regency c1825 multicoloured leaded glazed panels are priced at £9,500.
