Emily Henson, Joanna Simmons and Catherine Gratwick have produced a new book 'Modern Rustic' published by Ryland, Peters & Small. The book contains ideas, advice and inspiration on interior decorating with reclaimed timber.

There are bed canopies, wardrobes and kitchens built using old wood. Who needs paint when you can clad a whole wall, or even a whole room, in silvery old larch, or a patchwork of different coloured floorboards.

Photos from the house of Oliver Heath, the tv designer, feature heavily in the book. He says 'Cladding a wall with reclaimed wood adds a sense of scale, character and creativity. It brings a feeling of warmth to a space, adding texture that the eye can immediately relate to. And, most importantly, it connects your home to nature.'

Reclaimed wood makes a magnificent feature in any home. So do not forget to check out SalvoWEB for reclaimed timber and try and buy from your local Salvo Code dealer.
