Kristi Posvar Loverde bought Adam and Eve architectural salvage yard in 1993 but she is now retiring and closing early next year after selling the 3-acre site just west of Dixie Highway to a landscape company.
Customers are going to be sad to see it close. A salvage yard has been at the West Palm Beach property for at least half a century. Loverde remembers back to 1995 when hundreds of people lined up to get in for a sale after she acquired four truckloads of furniture and accessories after Donald Trump bought the Marjorie Merriweather Post estate. It has since stocked a variety of reclaimed items and has been described as a designer's and renovator's delight.
The closing down auction is currently scheduled for 25 January 2014. Keep an eye on local press for confirmation. They state all their inventory must go so no reasonable offer will be refused.
