Gypsy caravan £4k top lot at Gaze's

At Gaze's architectural salvage sale on 14th September there were runs of oak planked doors from a nunnery in Windsor at £170, several lots of surplus granite tiles at £2.20ea, starred corner Victorian glazed doors at £70, quite a few enamel lamp shades at £15 to £20 each, 9inch pamments from £1.89, 30 old radiators from £50, among a wide range of architectural antique and garden lots.
 
Six folded steel padded 1930s chairs retailed by Jarrolds of Norwich sold for £650, a 61ins stone trough sold for £850, a 60ins high pair of compo urns sold for £1,000, a 1920s oak front door sold for £60 and second highest lot of an armillary sundial on an old Portland stone baluster base sold for £1,700.
 
Top lot was an original traditional barrel top gypsy caravan complete with stove, bed and light, furnished and fitted with colourful paint work sold for £4,000.
 
Gaze's next sale of bygones will be held on 19th October 2013.
