Defra is developing a new set of sustainable development indicators to meet the Government's commitments to transparency and sustainable development, and is carrying out an informal consultation for 12 weeks from 24th July 2012.
 
The survey ignores the reuse of reclaimed building materials, which are blithely included under the catch-all 'waste' (= recycling, crushing, burning, mulching etc etc)
