London South West, UK - Stephen Fry sided with a long line of worthies stretching back to Lord Byron to win a debate at Cadogan Hall in London on 11th June with the motion that the Parthenon Marbles (as they are more frequently called nowadays) should be returned to the new Acropolis Museum in Athens. It would be classy, he said, and in any case we (the British, or English?) would never ever be able to repay the debt we owe to ancient Greece.
