Occupying a previously disused council depot, Newcastle Wood Recycling has worked hard to bring the buildings back to life. A not-for-profit organisation on a mission to divert wood from the local waste stream, while creating employment, training and volunteer opportunities for people in the local community. The site includes studio space, a timber yard and a shop, which stocks eco-friendly homewares as well as reclaimed lighting and wood items.
