Antique granite cider press base and screw thread

A beautifully crafted antique granite base and screw thread for catching the apple juice from Normandy's cider apples. A worthy museum piece no newer than 19th century, it is on display at BCA's Normandy premises at Méry Corbon East of Caen. Overall weight estimated at 4 tonnes.
