1920's 30's Art Deco Tubular Modernist side lamp table Bauhhaus

Probably quite agog in its day, Modernist, time, space, light, provoking. Now, as with any well aged, good antique piece, all rather pleasant, stayed and easy to the eye, but you still get it and there's actually more to take in, digest, admire and consider.

Condition: Structurally sound. Fine for use. Being sold as found. Dusty and tired. The chrome base with an intense level and look you couldn't re-produce, is quite genuinely lovely. Some may want to give it all an overall buff and clean. Maybe. Depending on the look you enjoy.

Glass lift off top. Probably not the original, but for the optimist and believer, it might be. It's well aged with plenty of relevent distressing ( no chips ). It's also particularly relevent in size, the radius being the same as the height of the base.

If not genuinely 20's 30's German modernist, Thonet, Breuer, then very likely from over that way.

Pleasant, easy, well designed proportions. Pleasant, easy, well aged presentation. A good early example looking for a flim-flam, lamp and quiet corner. <br><br>
