Hereford & Worcs, UK - 'For every door you buy we'll send £10 to help Balloon Ventures grow business in Africa,' proclaims a banner on the home page of English Salvage of Leominster.

The post-election violence in Kenya in 2007 and 2008 spurred the creation of a London-based social enterprise start-up with the aim of alleviating poverty and unemployment facing young people in Kenya. Balloon's Head Office is in London's Kings Cross with branch offices in Nakuru in Kenya, Mbale in Uganda and Ho in Ghana.

As a youth led organisation 95% of Balloon's staff are under the age of 35 and live in the towns and cities where it works to create excellent community relations, knowledge and trust.

English Salvage has had a busy couple of months supplying a wedding chapel in Japan with two container-loads of reclaimed items including a spectacular carved oak church altar and an ornately carved church panel screen.

The £10 a door donation runs until the end of September, and the website has an impressive online reclaimed door finder and ordering system, so hurry along and bulk buy those doors!
