Bristol, UK
Olliff's Architectural Antiques in Bristol held a one day sale on Saturday 15th September with ninety percent of lots sold. Marcus Olliff achieved exactly what he set out to do greatly reducing his stock and selling a year's turnover in one day.
Wellers auctioneers team led by Glen Snelgar introduced over 300 registered trade and private buyers to the auction and kept the sale moving at a swift pace clearing 950 lots in eight and a half hours. Bidding was brisk both in the auction room and on-line. Prices were incredibly buoyant considering the underlying economy with the majority of lots selling over estimate but naturally enough under the yard's normal retail price.
