Two mantle piece clocks

The Police Service of Northern Ireland are appealing for information following a burglary at a shop in the Moira area on 14th June.

An antiques shop at Main Street was broken into at around 11.30pm and two antique clocks were taken.

One was a Victorian Brass and Copper Mantlepiece Clock valued at £1,200 and the second an 18th Century eight day ebony bracket clock engraved with the manufacturers name (Edward Pistor) valued in the region of £12,000 to £14,000 pounds. Both items are considered unique.

Police are keen to speak to anyone with information or anyone who is offered similar items for sale in suspicious circumstances. They are also keen to hear from anyone who was in the area and who noticed two males acting suspciciously. One of these males is described as in his mid teens, approximately 6' tall with short brown hair. He was wearing a grey jacket and jeans. The other is ddescribed as in his mid teens, approximately 6' tall of slim build. He was wearing a white hooded jumper and jeans.
