Established in 2005, Oxford Wood Recycling is a social enterprise that provides waste wood collections whilst creating jobs and training opportunities for disadvantaged local people. Aiming to reclaim as much of the timber as possible, the team of volunteers help to de-nail and clean up the reusable wood which is then offered for resale or used in their workshops to make bespoke timber furniture.

Often described as an ‘Aladdin’s cave’ of reclaimed wood, Oxford Wood Recycling collects timber from both new build and demolition housing sites. Stock can range from CLS and PSE dry graded construction timber to older items such as 300 year old elm beams and iroko work benchtops from a local school. Oxford Wood Recycling also provides cutting services.
