Reclaimed French Oak Barrels - approx 300 m3
£ 1,000 per cu m plus VAT
Quantity in stock: 300
Here we go again. Another batch of these beauties is up for sale. Here's some more information:
The material is French oak reclaimed from barrels that were in use to age spirits at a vodka distillery in Poland.
This oak has been cut down in 1952 and the barrels were built. For over 30 years they were used for aging spirit and then in the late 1980s the barrels were emptied and remained so until this day.
This wood is perfect for furniture making, worktops, flooring... there are many ways to use it.
These are yet to be dismantled and from the barrels there will be beams 2 - 4 meters long, with thickness of 60-65 mm and width from 7-8 cm to 20 cm.
There are also lids and bottoms for which the price is slightly lower. The diameters are between 2 - 2,4 m, thickness of the lids is 55-70 mm (most of them is 55 mm) and the bottoms are 70-90 mm thick. The lids have square holes cut out (to pour the booze in, of course!).
Timber humidity is 13% when stored outside and 8% when stored indoors.
If you're interested, please email me or give me a call to discuss. We're open to negotiations, suggestions and bad jokes - we love what we do and we're getting better and better at it. ;)
