New York, USA - The two Salvo top picks for Spring 2019 both feature the garden with leading dealers in garden furniture and fine garden antiques.

New York, U.S.A. - New York Botanical Garden - Garden Furniture & Antiques Fair:

The New York Botanical Garden is the venue for the annual Garden Furniture & Antiques Fair, with curated offerings from leading dealers, including classic furniture and fine garden antiques. Exhibitors include New York based, Salvo Code member, Barbara Israel Garden Antiques. The image of the copper-roofed folly pavilion is from a previous NYBG fair from Barbara Israel Garden Antiques.

The Fair opens with a Preview Party and Collectors’ Plant Sale on Thursday, April 11, from 6 to 8 p.m. and continues all weekend, Friday, April 12, through Sunday, April 14, featuring plants, antiques, and garden furniture, taking place amid the glorious spring spectacle at the Garden. New this year: visitors to the Fair and Preview Party will also be able to experience NYBG’s popular annual exhibition, The Orchid Show, which will pay tribute to Singapore’s rich legacy of innovative garden design and floral display.

The New York Botanical Garden, 2900 Southern Boulevard, Bronx, New York 10458
Preview Party: Thursday, April 11th, 2019; 5:30 pm.
April 12th to 14th, 2019; 10 am to 5 pm.

London - The Decorative Antiques & Textiles Fair:

More than one hindered and fifty dealers take part in the Spring Battersea Fair. Many bring antique and mid-century garden pieces 'as found', beautifully-weathered and with the patina of mossy age, which add an instant sense of establishment to a garden or exterior space.

The foyer display for Spring 2019 is 'A Room of Her Own,' with a mix of traditional decoration such as antique floral fabrics, pictures and accessories with 20th century design elements. There will be an air of Bloomsbury Set ‘boho-chic’ in a nod to “A Room of One’s Own” by Virginia Woolf, published ninety years ago in 1929.

Exhibitors include Salvo Code members, Antiques By Design with their innovative furniture, lighting and decorative pieces designed with salvaged and reclaimed items and Nicholas Gifford-Mead, with Antique chimneypieces, furniture, sculpture and garden ornament. Other exhibitors to look out for would be Nikki Page Antiques and her angel statue, and Vagabond Antiques.
