English Oak in very wide, very long legths at 30 mm sawn thickness. Widths from 150 mm but mostly above 300mm and throughout the range up to around 800 mm - sometimes wider.
Lengths range from very short to 15 metres, but commonly 4 , 5, 6, 10, 12 and occasionally longer.
fresh sawn; air dried to around 25% amc. ; kiln dried to 8 to 10 %; kiln dried to 6%;
Sawn both faces, waney edged, bark on. ; hand straightened with parallel edges; hand straightened, tapered boards; half lapped; hand sanded.
