 FOR SALE : STAINED GLASS FRENCH WINDOWS & DOORS ENTRANCE This item is a one-off and never to be repeated. This was designed for the house i have recently purchased, which when built around 1908 and there are only 4 homes of the same charachter. The house was originally lavished with Stained glass windows throughout and these windows were designed for only this house. Sadly i have had to have these removed because of an extension to the existing property.
The Windows themselves i would say are generally in a good to excellent condition for its period, they are all encased in metal and not wood - therefore extremely heavy. There is some damage to the windows, but thankfully these are only to the clear glass rectangle pieces of glass which can easily be replaced. There is also one small piece of plain obsecure glass also cracked - but i have a similar matching piece that would complement this and go in its place.
The heavy metal french door, for some reason was welded together, however this can easily be sawn off/unwelded or heated up to move the welding in a couple of places. I think this was done by the last owner because the lock is either broken or there is no key available because it was lost - however a conventional 5 lever lock will fit in its place, as this is what is currently there.
I have had this valued prior to it being removed, and i was told that this would fetch in the region of between £4500 - £5500 if this was in perfect condition.
I am therefore aware of the work that needs to be done to bring this back to scratch, mainly confined to replaceing 11 pieces of oblong clear glass and unwelding the door and putting a new lock on. Otherwise this is a huge heavy ornate piece with beautiful iris flowers. I have never seen any item remotely as big or similar to this at all.
I had originally wanted the stained glass to be encapsulated, however this could not be done without having to lose some of the design and pattern and compromising the actual original design. I therefore had this copied and as you can see form the pictures, this is not remotely similar or as beautiful. Also considerable peices of the original stained glass had to be omitted from the design as this could not be fitted into the extension place.
Thr price i am looking for this is a reasonable price, it is afterall a unique and huge item that will never be repeated again as this is a one-off design only to this home. At a baragin price of £800 this is a steal for someone. Contact : R. Din, Lancashire, UK. Tel: 07961 & 753 611. Price : £800

four matching, leaded stained glass windows.
I have four of these beautiful diamond shaped windows, which bear the 'fleur de lys' symbol in stained glass. two of them are set into ornate pine doors, and the other two are just the stained glass section on its own in a wooden frame. the windows are not of a great age, but were specially commisioned for a pub in carlisle which has closed down. all of the windows are in perfect condition.

 FOR SALE : LATE VICTORIAN/EDWARDIAN PINE BAY CASEMENT WINDOW A large semicircular bay window with 5 large and 5 small opening casements. The timber frame is of pine and in good general condition with no rot or worm and has been kept in dry storage , however it does need a good strip down, prime and paint. The casements are all in likewise condition , all curved anmd all are leaded glazed with the smaller top opening being coloured. Some need repair work to missing or damaged glass sections but this is in a minority. Dimensions are as follows , bay itself is 2.1m diameter , standing 1.7m tall , the larger casement opening are 93cm tall by 50cm approximate on the inside of the curve , likewise the smaller opening are 50cm tall by 50cm wide. The top is framed and requires leading once in situe and we even have the original wooden guttering sections that would also be leaded. An unusual piece with all the major component parts available , would suit a barn conversion or 'new build' old style property making an excellent focal point.
