 FOR SALE : VICTORIAN CAST IRON SPINDLES
You are looking at some genuine victorian ornate cast iron spindles.
They have come from a very grand local building due to redevelopment.
There are 32 spindles here including some curved ones for the corners, which was enough to do 2 flights of stairs on both sides in their original setting.
Each spindle is marked with a diamond registration mark which dates the registration of the design to 3rd september 1867.
The overall condition is good but there is the odd bit of damage on a few. Mainly this is one of the top fixing lugs having broken but this will be almost unseen when re-fitted.
The measurements are;
30 inches tall to the top of the actual spindle and 8 inches wide.
These can be delivered nationwide but please contact for an exact quote.

FOR SALE : NEWEL POSTS AND BANISTER RAILS
Beautiful mahogany newel posts and detailed handrail. There are six posts in all, reclaimed from a Victorian/Edwardian house in Southend that was being demolished. The large one is the main one that would be at the bottom of the stair case, approx 6 feet tall, the bottom foot or so would be secured into the floor. There are a further five smaller ones that would have made up a dog-leg design staircase. There are approx four handrails, a main one the length of the oroginal staircase, approx 15 feet and smaller ones. All in lovely condition and will polish up beautifully. One newel post slightly damaged. We do not have spindles as these were non-original.
I originally brought the whole lot for a loft coversion to my Edwardian London town house, but am now relocating to Derbyshire. I paid £200 for the lot but would negotiate over the price. Would look stunning in the right location.

Set of antique reclaimed 19th century steps in granite. First step particularly wide at 220cm (87") with successive steps 180cm long (71"). Comes with two wrought iron hand rails. Extra steps available to extend the stairs to make a complete interior stairway.
