No makers label but with a distinct smack of Liberty or Morris & Co. This is a good quality example which uses restrained detail and ornament to full effect. Undoubtedly Arts & Crafts, the neat, concise size offers both practical and decorative qualities.
Well constructed, with neatly paneled backboard. The bookcase is in original condition throughout. Light general distressing about the piece with some fading in areas.

 FOR SALE : AMAZING ORIGINAL VINTAGE 50'S/ 60'S SOFA Cool classic Eames era vintage sofa from 1950s/60s in original creamy beige fabric with tapered wooden legs. Simple Scandinavian style design - low and laid back, designed by Edward Wormley for Dunbar.
It's in almost perfect condition, just a few scratches on the legs to be expected in a piece of this age. No real wear or marks on the fabric - one tiny inkspot on the underside of one of the cushions.
Such a nice quality example of original mid-century design doesn't come up very often - we'd like to keep it but have to make room for a family cast off.

 FOR SALE : ANTIQUE SOLID OAK BOARDROOM CHAIRS SET OF 20 Antique Solid Oak Boardroom Chairs set of 20
Confirming their status of boardroom, one chair bears a small brass label " Manifoldia, West Bromwich ". Manifoldia Ltd, a printing company based in West Bromwich, established in 1909.
Slightly bulkier and heavier feeling than the photos suggest. The chairs date anywhere from 1909 to around the first world war. With a slight " Arts & Crafts " hang-over, particularly in the partly chamfered corner of the front legs. These chairs come with a restrained charm of character, further exaggerated by their unusual numbers.
Other than the later replaced textured vinyl upholstery ( which is in very good condition ), the chairs appear to be in original, as found condition, bearing the indications of general wear and tear along with a number of running repairs... A little dirty and dusty, but generally sturdy.
If you plan to use as is, then a simple wash and a beeswax would bring them back up. Alternatively, if you plan to re-upholster and restore, hopefully the keen price, style and solid timbers give you something to work with.
