 FOR SALE : SUPERB MARBLE FIREPLACE
Beautiful Marble Fireplace:
It is carved in " Opera Fantastico Marble" extracted from Sarrancolin quarry in the French Pyrenean mountains.
It was in a reception lounge of a huge period mansion.
It is dated approx from the beginning of 1800' s ( Probably 1820 -1830 ).
For centuries Sarrancolin Marble has been appreciated and extracted to decorate such well-known buildings as :
Chateau de Versailles (Pillars, facades and many fireplaces)
The Paris Opera house (pillars)
The Empire State Building (Entrance hall)
There are three types of Sarrancolin marble:
Versailles: Grey,Salmon pink,white coral coloured
Framboise:( Rapsberry shade) Garnet red, grey, white
Opera Fantastico: Yellow, Salmon pink, white coral, green and grey
Sarrancolin marble has been used and known for centuries as one nature's Masterpieces
The fireplace is: 1,68 m Wide, 1,64m High, 0,40 m Deep. The internal measures are 1,07 m wide between the front legs and 0,92 m from the floor to below the lintel .
It is in an exceptional condition and ready to be packed and send to its buyer.
