 FOR SALE : 1950'S LIGHT OAK G PLAN BRANDON COFFEE TABLE HOMESTYLE This 1950's Coffee Table is from the early G Plan 'Brandon' range and was listed in their catalogue as a 'Cocktail Table'.
It features a simple homestyle design and is right out of the iconic post war 'Atomic' design era where companies such as G Plan employed top designers and were for the first time in years able to produce highly innovative designs free from the rationing of the war time years.
This lovely table has a number of interesting design features very inkeeping with the 1950's trend for multifunctional furniture. There is a storage drawer which can be opened from both sides of the table as well as an internal book/magazine shelf.
Finished off with a subtle light oak veneer and on fabulous splayed legs this coffee table is somewhat of a design icon and examples of it does not come up for sale very often.

Enhanced listing FOR SALE : VERY RARE DENNER HILL SETTS 150M2 IBS Reclaim are pleased to offer these extremely rare setts for sale. One of natures most beautiful products Denner Hill Setts, reclaimed from a property dating back to the early 18th century having been restored between 1871 & 1873.
This material was once the source of a flourishing local industry, dating back to at least the mid nineteenth century and earlier.
The best deposits of this stone were to the north of High Wycombe, - Bryant's Bottom, Denner Hill, North Dean, Naphill and Walter's Ash.
These blocks or boulders of hard sandstone were found at depths varying from six to sixty feet. They were located by workers probing the ground with long instruments known as "snipers".
The blocks varied in size, one at Walter's Ash was reported to be around twelve feet in height and weighing over three hundred and fifty tons.
These blocks were split to produce cobbles, kerbstone "setts", building blocks, river stepping stones, cottage door steps and gateposts.
Building blocks were used in the repair of Windsor Castle. Some streets, in both Windsor and Aylesbury, are paved with this stone.
