I have for sale approx 490 6" reclaimed hexagonal terracotta floor tiles. I've used these during renovation of my house and they look stunning - see pics.
These are originally from France where I believe they were used widely in barns and farm yards etc.
Each tile is unique and they mix and match brilliantly to give a beautiful effect which looks better as the years go by and the wax layers build up.
Looking at my finished floors I estimate these would cover about 11.5 square metres at about 42/mtr.

 FOR SALE : VICTORIAN ENCAUSTIC TILES - LOT3 One of several lots of Victorian encaustic tiles which were removed from the Holy Cross Parsonage/St Cross Rectory in Oxford, prior to demolition in the early 1960s.
The parsonage was designed by Charles Buckeridge, a pupil of George Gilbert Scott, who had established an architectural practice in Oxford in the mid-19th century.
Buckeridge almost certainly commissioned these tiles. There is no maker's name on the rear, or at least none can be seen because of the remaining mortar which has been largely removed. They are similar in design to those from the factories of Godwin/Craven Dunhill/MInton.
Examples of these tiles may be found in cathedrals throughout the UK, and especially in several Oxford College Chapels and Churches where Buckeridge acted as Clerk of Works to Scott.

 FOR SALE : J C EDWARDS/MAW AND COMPANY SALVAGED VICTORIAN FLOOR TILES A wonderful example of the design of J.C. Edwards from which the moulds were then purchased by Maw & Co from Raubon Ltd. This same design is featured within Trevor Hall, a fine Georgian mansion on the outskirts of Llangollen in north-east Wales recently featured on the BBC's Hidden Houses of Wales. Laurence Llewelyn-Bowen visits and discovers how Trevor Hall was saved from dereliction and transformed into a pop music mogul's personal pleasure palace. The design you see here is the same design but salvaged from another building and location.
Condition: Excellent, all tiles have been thoroughly cleaned free of mortar on the backs and sides; Makers mark: Maw & Company; Period: Circa 1850.
Size: Original size approx 11 square meters, would be ideal for a hall area measuring approx 9-10 sq meters. Please note that there will not be enough decorative border to surround a square panel as the floor has been salvaged from a hall where the border disappears under the stairs.
