 RECRAFT : OAK DOUBLE DOORS - ART NOUVEAU GLASS INSETS These are original insets believed to have been removed from an abbey. While we no exact details on who made them or the date, you can immediately see the quality in both design and colouration.
Some of the glass panes have cracks in them - these do not affect the stability of the glass but we thought that the purchaser should be aware of this.
The doors are in oak and primed and undercoated in an oil undercoat. Size is 33.5 x 77.5 x 1.25 inches. The panels are 38 x 19 inches. All dimensions are approximate.
There are four outer panels (two alognside each panel). These have been made recently and one of these is cracked ~ the glass is 'current' and easy to obtain but will need to be replaces by the puchaser ~ the four panels cost £90 so you should budget for £25 to replace this panel.
The doors are rebated (close neatly together) and have the blocks and latch plate. The purchases will need to supply handles, beading (to fix the glass), and paint them to finish. Price : £725
