 FOR SALE : ARTS & CRAFTS/AESTHETIC VICTORIAN TILED INSERT
This stunning insert is mid/late Victorian Arts & Craft/Aesthetic Movement and has been fully restored, polished back to its original gun metal finish. It is in good order, as are the 13 original Victorian tiles with pretty flower design.
Insert measures 38in x 38in and goes against a fireback as seen in photo and suitable for a real fire.
It was found in barn near Coggeshall, Essex having lain unrestored for 40years.

 FOR SALE : BLACK CAST IRON GAS FIREPLACE INSERT
This cast iron insert has a gas fire installed into it. The controls are concealed behind a specially designed front which fits underneath the basket. Inside the basket are pretty realistic looking coals which glow as the get hot. It kicks out a fair amount of heat, at least 2kW I reckon so great to have to add some extra heat on the coldest days, not to mention how cosy it looks when it's going. Most people have been fooled that it's real.
We use it although I've no idea if it conforms to the latest safety standards. It think it's no more than 20 years old though since it was installed by the previous owner of the house
Dimensions are bigger than 95cm x 95cm which is the opening in the current mantlepiece.

An original Victorian combination cast iron fireplace with original tiles.
It has been polished back to its original finish to achieve a lovely gun metal effect. Is in very good order, however, the back on one side is very slightly warped due to heat damage, but is not cracked or broken in any way and not unusal in a fireplace this age that has been used on a regular basis.
