circa 1836 - 40 milled structural beams - each 30 + ft long

Salvaged from 1990 demolition of Mary St. school in Oshawa, ON, Canada



Lot has been 'dry-storedd' for 17 years

Our vintage sawed lumber often bears circular markings of the massive rip-saws found in early water driven sawmills. Lumber has deep patina available only through ageing. When enhanced by a light sanding and clear coating this lumber displays nail holes, stains some insect scars and occasional beam pockets.



The sawn lumber and beams are typically "full" sizes (cut to the nearest inch). However, because the sawer's graceless machinery was not always accurate, variations occur. Lumber and beams are priced to the nearest inch.
