WANTED : RAILWAY STATION SIGNS

I am trying to track down the old signs that were used to display British Railways station names during the 1950's and 1960's. The signs are about 36 ins by 10 ins and come in six colours - brown, maroon, light blue, dark blue, green and orange.

Of particular interest are stations in North West Manchester and Somerset.

I would be interested in the Hucknall Central sign if it is original and you still have it for sale. There are a lot of copies about (I have one replica sign and it's hard to tell the difference other than a scratch test as the originals were vitreous enamel). Unfortunately I can't see a way to contact you from your post.

hello simon, i have such a station sign for sale. it is maroon and white with the station name of Hucknall Central. it is stove enamelled steel, it is genuine and original and in mint condition - no rust or chips pls advise if you would like me to forward a photograph of it.
