FOR SALE : RECLAIMED SANDSTONE PIER CAPS (PAIR)
We have for sale this pair of original reclaimed stone pier caps

They stand on a square base which measures approx 27" x 27"

There is a slight champfer to the underside on this base

The square sides are approx 11" in height, with the peak of the pyrmaid on top standing a further 10" - a total height from base to top of approx 21"


There are some signs of wear, but are generally in good condition. One of the caps has some mortar
on top, which could be removed relativley easily.

FOR SALE : RECLAIMED CHURCH BELL TOWER OR FOLLEY
Here is a supreme example of a massive Victorian Gothic style bell tower. The tower comes in sections and is made from reclaimed sandstone. We have re assembled the bell tower in our yard and it stands a full 14' 6" in height, 6' 3" wide at the base, and 2' deep.

It comprises of 24 individual peices, and complete weighs in the order of between 5 and 7 tonnes. The original bell is now in the collection of Wrexham museum, although we do have similar bells available that could be installed. As can be seen from the photographs it is in excellent condition, with only a few small chips. It has a lovely patina that has taken over 100 years to develop.

If you have a large property that needs complimenting with a bell tower either as part of the main house or as a folley in the garden, this may be the peice for you. As a one off statement of historical, architectural significance and style, you certainly wont find another example like this, and it will always appreciate in value.

FOR SALE : MAGNIFICENT DISMANTLED VICTORIAN SANDSTONE EDIFICE. 200 PIECES
Just about 200 pieces of shaped and carved sandstone from a Victorian pumping station believed to have been erected around 1870 and taken apart, in its entirety around 1980. As can be seen in the photographed some pieces may weigh over 1 ton. Included are three Polished Red Granite pillars/columns in perfect order, each measuring 13ft in length and 14 inches in diameter with one side flattened. At a location on the Shrosphire Staffordshire border with hardcore access to the bulk of it and easy access to the remainder.

These rare ventilation bricks are superb!
You can still see them in situ on many Leeds buildings.
These came from the actual Leeds Fireclay House demolished in 2007.

The Leeds Fireclay Co. Ltd, were producers of glazed clay known as Burmantofts Faience and terra-cotta from the late 1870s. The brickworks closed in 1957.
They measure 250mm square and are 90mm deep.

FOR SALE : VICTORIAN TERRACOTTA CHIMNEYS
these two matching chimneys were made by Jabez Thompson's (1835 - 1911) brick works at Witton Hall Northwich,
Jabez produced common, fine and moulded bricks and terracotta,
providing bricks for the famous Victorian architect, John Douglas.
He also specialised in ornamental pieces and panels. The façades of
Moseley Road Swimming Baths, Birmingham and the Sanatorium
at Denstone College, Uttoxeter are by him, as is a terra-cotta alto
reredos of Leonardo Da Vinci's Last Supper at St. Michael and
All Saints Church, Little Leigh, near Northwich.

These are from a building dated 1887.

FOR SALE : IMPORTANT ANTIQUE FRENCH STONE MONUMENT
Important antique French stone monument known as a ³bugadière² salvaged from
a fortified house in Provence in the south of France reputed to have been built by the Knights Templars in the 12th century.
A rare and exceptional piece, it has a beautiful patina on the Provence stone.

The bugadière is currently being stored in Versailles near to Paris.
The approximate measurements of the bugadière are as follows:

Provenance: Removed from the Oratory of St Philip Neri in Kensington, described by Pevsner as London's most thoroughgoing nineteenth century import of the Italian style.

More info added (15 aug 06): Removed from St. Philips Church, Earls Court, London, designed by Johnson 1863. Carved arcading with marble columns, by Farmer. Originally in the sanctuary, it consists of limestone canopies, capitals and bases, incorporating angelic figures, with verde and rouge breche columns. Derbyshire alabaster panelling infilling the arches. 7 arches plus 3 arches on each return. In addition, the original altar rail comprising pierced trefoils in alabaster with a verde marble rail and base. (Minor losses, notably one pinnacle).
