The Sturgeon Lamp Standards, 1870-1964, originally located on The Embankment, London. Modelled by James Mabey, under George Vulliamy as the Metropolitan Board of Works Superintending Architect George Vuillamy.
Also called the Dolphin Lamp Standards, these functional pieces of art line the South Bank. These Victorian cast iron standards with their globe-like lanterns were erected from 1870 onwards, for the illumination and decoration of the Albert Embankment and Victoria Embankment opposite.Curled around the base of the standards is the model of an entwined pair of sturgeon, each base alternatively displays either the data of construction or an inscription to the Queen. When building County Hall in 1933, the London County Council (L.C.C) extended the standards to cover its own embankment. In 1964, the L.C.C installed twenty-eight more of the standards, to run from County Hall to the Southbank Concert Halls.

 FOR SALE : BRONZE BULLION ROOM DOORS They are the former bullion room doors from a Bank in Lombard Street.
The Doors are Bronze.
The doors were commissioned from - and designed and cast by - Sir Charles Wheeler in the 1950's.
Sir Charles Wheeler provided the figures on the front and the dome of the Bank of England, the western fountain figures in Trafalgar Square, earth and water figures at the MOD, the Springbok on South Africa House and St George and the Dragon in Lombard Street itself.
The doors are unique. There are no others in existence.
They are in magnificent condition and enjoy a rich Patina after almost 50 years.
The detail on the two doors is superb.
The doors are cast as a matching pair to face one another.
Phoebus the Sun God faces Ursa Major.
The doors weigh approximately two tons each.
Each door is 13ft high and 10ft wide.

The boat is 62ft long x 6ft 9" wide approx
All of the drawings are available
The floor is 10mm, sides are 6mm, super structure is 5mm and the top is 3mm
The top is all available and is inside the boat and the rub strips are included but not fitted
This is parked outside the fabricators workshops and they now need it out of the way
Access to the boat is not a problem as it is on an industrial estate
It is priced fairly for a quick sale
The steel used in the construction is 'prime' plate to Bs 4360 43A
The quality of the work is second to none as this was a personal project and was to be done to a high standard, the alignment from front to back was done with a laser, the water tank is stainless steel and as been pressure tested
have spoken to the engineers about the 'rust' on the boat - they say it is not pitted and that there is a fluid/wash that would recommend to remove this fine rust

in about 1330 these rights rivered to the crown in 1536 upon the dissolution of the monasteries by henry viii
on 17 may 1544 ralph worsley of worsley in lancashire bought the monorial privileges which included the ferry rights to woodside ferry for £586-1s 6d current value £205,000
in 1712 alderman john clieveland acqiured the powell estates and ferry rights for woodside
