 RECRAFT : HAND CARVED OAK HERALDIC LION
Hand Carved Oak Heraldic Lion
This Heraldic Lion has been hand carved out of one piece of Welsh Oak.
It features a heraldic beast bearing a shield with a double Tudor rose motif.
My piece is an interior designers dream. It would look fantastic in a number of locations whether that be a barn conversion, outside or in a contemporary setting.
This piece measures 46" high x 10" square.

My work is traditionally hand carved and finished using traditional methods passed down over hundreds of years by artisans.
A hand carved piece will always distinguish against a modern machined piece of work, although modern machines are many times faster, the finish is too clinical with no life.
Hand carved work with tool marks and slight errors in the carving make each piece unique and more pleasing to the eye.
No machinery is used in my work.

Hand Carved Gargoyle
This Gargoyle has been based on original Medieval carvings found on buildings around the UK and it has been hand carved from a piece of Scotch buff Sandstone.
This piece of Sandstone has been drilled out using original methods.
This piece measures 26" long x 12" high x 8" wide.

 RECRAFT : HAND CARVED SANDSTONE CHIMNEY PIECE Hand carved Sandstone chimney piece
This sandstone chimney frieze would be suitable for a number of applications.
This piece incorporates a central female mask with garlands of fruits and flowers.
The hand carving is so beautiful, you could sit and admire it for hours on end.
Measurements:
36.5" long, 6.5" high. It has been carved out of a 9" Sandstone block.

It is based on an original Jacobean fireplace and the carving represents work of this period.
